Adventures in crafting, creating, organizing, and and any other "ing" I may think of while living my dream of being a stay at home mommy.

Evidently I have been taking the "eating cake" portion of my New Year's Goals a little too seriously and neglecting the others.  When I spoke to the husband about this he said "didn't you say that was your goal this year, to eat more cake?".  Nope that wasn't the goal at all.  The goal is to be satisfied with my sweets and with my body.
But, I have overindulged in the chocolate one minute microwave cake (which I truly truly love...check it out a chocolatecoveredkatie.com) and as I mentioned in my New Year's goals, I do not want to buy new pants.
So, this week I joined the YMCA.  The whole family did.  Now I can eat more cake since I am working out (wink, wink).
I love living in a town where this amazing facility exists.  Exercise classes all times of the day, a pool, racquetball,, basketball, a walking track, a steam room, and people who actually enjoy watching my little one.  I love it.
So far my only regret has been taking the spinning class for my very first class at the Y.  Big mistake...huge!  I am not one to ease into things, so I jumped in head first.  And four days later I am still paying for it.
It is amazing how easy it is to get out of shape and how hard it is to get back into shape.
Oy!  I can't wait for my next classes...zumba, step something or other, and water aerobics!
